As our current occupational therapist is retiring, we are now seeking an engaged occupational therapist who wants to help create meaningful days for individuals in daily activities.

Your New Job

As an occupational therapist in daily activities, you will be responsible for assessing, adapting, and developing activities for participants, as well as prescribing and managing individual and work-related assistive devices according to the assistive device process. You will introduce new participants and work with assessment, treatment, and follow-up of habilitation and rehabilitation efforts according to HSL, while ensuring documentation complies with current legislation.

The work also involves contact with the assistive device center, assistive device technicians, and legal representatives. You will contribute to increasing participants' involvement and influence, as well as promoting healthy living habits.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist, preferably with experience in assistive device prescription. It is advantageous if you have worked with individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.

You need good computer skills and proficiency in Swedish in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension to handle documentation and communication. It is desirable if you have previously worked with IBIC and in the Combine system. A B driver's license for manual transmission is required.

As an occupational therapist in daily activities, you need to be confident in your professional role and have a good ability to make decisions. You take the initiative to create and maintain relationships and adapt communication based on individual needs.

Welcome to Us

Lindens daily activities are located in new premises in the picturesque area of Strandängen. The workgroup consists of experienced support pedagogues, support assistants, occupational therapists, and personal assistants. Much of the work is done together with colleagues where you organize activities for participants both in groups and individually. A lot of the work takes place on the floor as participants need to come out of their wheelchairs. Activities may include sensory stimulation in various sensory rooms, walking training, standing training, creative activities, theater, music, motor skills, and communication training.

Good to Know

The recruitment pertains to a permanent full-time position starting no later than May 1. Working hours are daytime from 07:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.

You will be offered a position within daily activities primarily based at Lindens daily activities, but it may also be relevant to work at workplace-based placements within services, support, and culture.
